TATE ACCESS FLOORS

Tate is the largest company in North America dedicated solely to the development, production, and marketing of access floors.  The business was started to capitalize on the need  for specialized cable and HVAC management in computer rooms through the use of access flooring and to diversify Tate’s existing regional industrial products base.

An access floor is literally a “floor placed upon a floor” to create an interstitial space for the distribution of critical building services.  These include management for power, voice and data and the distribution of heating and cooling services.  Access floors provide tremendous cabling capacity.  A six inch access floor provides a 4 1/2” wire management chamber under the entire floor. Advantages are.

    Easy Access to critical services
    Levels uneven floors
Engineered to permit fast, easy installaton and quick wire and cable management changes
Provides insurance against technological obsolescence. With an access floor you can add additional power and telecommunications capacity without disrupting ongoing operations.
In new construction the use of an access floor for total service distribution reduces the overall building height by about 13%.  Or for the same height, you can increase the number of floors.

ConCore1000 and  TateFlex Modular Wiring can be treated as personal property and depreciated over seven years, improving cash flow. The access floor enables you to reconfigure HVAC services when you reconfigure your office arrangement.University of California research shows that underfloor air distribution increases indoor air quality.
